I developed my passion for print and pattern while growing up in my family's quilt store, surrounded by fabric, quilts, patterns and three generations of women who value making beautiful things by hand.
I have done traditional papercuts by hand for several years, and finding the Cameo was a revelation! Still, I often start my designs by cutting the shapes by hand with an X-ACTO Knife, and then scanning them to give them a handcrafted feel and sense of liveliness. As well as cutting files, I create illustrations and patterns for licensing and custom graphic design work.
I live in the vibrant arts district of Northeast Minneapolis with my husband, two young sons and a Cairn Terrier named Waffles.
