SEI was founded in 1979 originally as Sew Easy Industries with roots in sewing and fabric. In 1982, SEI created a simple line of clothing patterns that quickly became a sensation. In the early 90s, the company transitioned to other emerging crafting products, including iron-on transfers, clear elastic, tie-dye, scrapbooking, speciality embellishments, and more. Although the craft market is ever changing, iron-on transfers, tie-dye (tumble dye), clear elastic, and scrapbooking supplies remain to be SEI's flagship products. SEI's iron-on transfers and tumble dye are manufactured in their facility in Logan, Utah, enabling SEI to provide quick turnaround times and personalized customer service.
