golf bag card “fore” father’s day

Card measures approx. 3.75” x 9” when folded to fit into a standard no. 10 envelope (available at office suppliers). Detailed action card features detailed golf bag with pouches and pockets, shoulder handle and hand grip with end tabs and grommet punch detail, three club heads. (Extra shapes provided for options.) “FORE” slider tab pulls to the right to begin the message that is completed inside the card as cut-out: “FORE-tunately for me, you’re my Dad!”. (Two offset base layers are placed between bag details layer and card base. One includes slots for tab slider detail; the other is a cover shape base to hide the mechanism. Dashed lines on these two pieces indicate where NOT to put any adhesive so tab can slide.) CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE: A) glue “FORE” letters onto arrow-head tab. B) place tab face up over slot layer, flex to curl slightly to allow insertion of bottom slider “arms” into slots. C) slide tab to the bottom/left of slot layer. D) apply adhesive above and below dashed lines on slot layer, next to left edge beyond where tabs will slide when NOT extended, as well as within the “three sided box” dashed lines then place shapes base over. E) glue to front of card base, with offset spacing at edges, lined up with fold edge. F) apply glue to the front of slot layer above and below dashed lines, narrowly along left edge as for previous gluing step. G) glue tab assembly top layer over slot layer and tab. H) glue bag shapes base layer over tab assembly top layer arrange and glue the bag shapes on top of tab assembly, referring to thumbnail illustration layering detail shapes then attach in place as units.
