This versatile design can be used for ocean, lake, and shore related projects such as: scrapbook pages, cards, albums, as an iron on for T-shirts, and even as an auto decal on the back windshield. Plus, you can use the individual elements; “On Beach Time” words, beach ball, hourglass, and sand alone or combined on other projects.

TIP #2: Make sure you group everything together prior to resizing.

TIP #3: Suggestions for the Hourglass…

1. To make the hourglass look realistic cut the “glass” portion using Silhouette’s clear sticker paper or a presentation transparency sheet. Both cut great on Silhouette cutting machines.
2. Remember the “glass” portion of the hourglass goes on top of the sand inside the hourglass BEFORE you place all the pieces of the frame of the hourglass.
3. Once the clear “glass” is adhered in place, take a THIN dark or light gray, light brown, etc. pencil and outline around the hourglass portion as shown in the image to define the hourglass shape. I used a mechanical pencil.

TIP #4: Use our Beach Sand papers to add a realistic quality to the design.

TIP #5: For the beach ball, when mounting on the white base, align each color up at the top to create the white circle on the ball near to center. Once all colors are adhered in place on the white background, take a THIN dark gray, light brown, etc. pencil and outline the outer edge of the white section to define the outside edge of the white area on the beach ball. I used a mechanical pencil.

TIP #6: The “sand hills” are great used on the corners of a photo to add some depth and/or on a scrapbook page and/or cards as additional detail element(s).

TIP #7: You can also copy the words “On Beach Time” and cut a second time using a light grey media (paper or vinyl depending on usage) as a shadow layer for the first layer of words.
