(Look for the Halloween Card in a Box) Change the colours, use patterned papers, rearrange the decorative elements or leave some out. Make this seasonal box card just how you want it! Your lucky Irish friends will love it! We’ve included an Irish harp and a pot of gold - we have shamrocks AND four-leaf-clovers! Instructions: Open the file in your Cameo software, move all the items to the side and ungroup all the objects once. You will construct the box first. Cut the box structure and 2 rectangles with the shamrocks from green cardstock. Fold along the score lines – note there is one side of the box that has no score line across the middle. That is the back. Do not glue the box into shape yet. Cut all the scalloped edge panels and two large rectangular panels from white cardstock. Attach the scalloped square panels to the box flaps (There are additional panels provided to cover the sides of the box under the flaps, but they were not used in this sample). Assemble the box by gluing the tab. Attach the long panels to the inside back and outside back of the box. Pen or rubber stamp your greeting on the back panel. Fold the rectangles with the shamrocks along their score lines to form a U shape. The two sides of the U are attached to the right and left interior of the box (add glue to these sides) and are rather like crossbars. Space the two crossbars evenly between the front and the back of the box. Cut all the other elements in the cardstock colours of your choice. The very thinnest strips should be cut from a transparency as they are used to make the shamrocks “fly” right out of the box. Assemble and attach the elements for the project as shown in the photo, making use of the crossbars to achieve a layered look. This box will fold flat for shipping in an envelope.
